6th EU-Korea Competition Week

8 - 9 September 2026

About

O fficials from the EU and the Republic of Korea will meet online on 8 and 9 September 2026 for the 6th EU–Korea Competition Week, to discuss and exchange experiences and good practices in competition policy and enforcement.

The event will bring together the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition) and the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), continuing their longstanding cooperation and technical exchanges on competition policy and enforcement.

Across the two days, discussions will focus on two key areas of mutual interest. The first day will explore economic analysis and the use of economic evidence in competition enforcement, including how qualitative and quantitative evidence can be combined in competition investigations, approaches to assessing conduct, and the use of consumer behavioural experiments. The second day will focus on recent competition policy and enforcement developments in the EU and Korea

The Competition Week will provide both sides with an opportunity to compare approaches, discuss recent developments and practical enforcement experience, and deepen their cooperation on competition issues.
