2025 Competition Summer School for ASEAN, Indian and Bangladeshi officials
30 June -11 July 2025
T he Competition Summer Schools are back this summer. From the 30th of June until the 11th of July 2025, officials from India, Bangladesh and ASEAN countries will be welcomed in Brugge and Brussels, for an intensive 10-day training course on EU Competition law and policy.
As in previous editions, the programme aims to provide participants with a sound and deep knowledge and understanding of EU competition law and policy, including principles and practical application. Leading academics and practitioners will deliver lectures covering a wide range of topics, for example, the institutional framework, economic analysis, horizontal and vertical restraints, abusive conduct and merger control.
The Competition Summer School programmes are tailored to the needs and interests of the partner countries and participants, responding to recent developments in both the EU and the partner countries, to ensure an up-to-date and relevant training programme. The lectures combine theory with practical experience in the form of cases and practical examples to encourage problem solving and discussions. Participants are encouraged to discuss approaches and experience within their jurisdiction with their counterparts.
The participants from all the courses will come together for a day visit to the headquarters of the European Commission Directorate-General for Competition in Brussels, Belgium. There they will have the chance to meet officials from DG Competition and receive a first-hand introduction to the work of DG Competition in key areas, including competition advocacy and digital markets.
